Raising Kids in a Digital World is a fun, 45-minute program where children and their parents or caregivers can explore healthy digital habits together through storytime, creativity, and movement — guided by the beloved Sesame Street chara

An intermediate level sewing class. Receive step by step instructions as we sew a reading-pocket pillow, and venture into the world of zippers! Registration is required. This program is open to adults and teens ages 13 and up.

Join our free fitness classes sponsored by PCPLS, Valpo YMCA, and Porter County Health Department! Open to ages 14 and up, with kids 10-13 welcome if an adult joins them.

This month’s A Likely Story book is The Giver by Lois Lowry! The books are donated through the Kouts Lions Club and each family gets to keep a copy—registration is required. 

Enjoy a fun Christmas diamond art project with us as we make quirky ugly sweater ornaments and keychains.  All supplies and snacks are provided.  Registration is required.

Monthly Board of Director's Meeting

Learn how to make a Fox Buddy. 

Make a cute fox out of felt that you can hang from your backpack or keychain. 

Ages 5-12

Registration required. 

Drop-in and build fun structures with friends! We provide oversized blue blocks for the kids and family to build together and let their imaginations run wild! Fun for all ages.

All teens and tweens are welcome! Stop by the Portage Youth Services desk to grab a copy of Cinder by Marissa Meyer on or after 10/24/25.

Come play card games that the library has available for check out. Such as: Exploding Kittens, Throw Throw Burrito, Apples to Apples, and more! Registration is requested but not required.

Come in and paint an equine painting while enjoying some tea or coffee! This program is ran akin to Bob Ross's "The Joy of Painting." For ages 16+ 

Teens ages 12+ and adults are invited to create a Stranger Things inspired glow in the dark painting! Registration is required.

For Teens - Come play board games and video games at the library! 

An evening Storytime geared towards children ages 2-6 but all ages are welcome. Registration is available but is not required.
